Dr. Manar Ghanem, a member of the Meteorological Authority’s Media Center, revealed the latest weather developments in Egypt, noting that the second half of the fall season has begun, with most of its winter weather.
She said during a telephone conversation with media personality Heba Jalal, on the “90 Minutes” program broadcast on the “Al-Mehwar” screen, that today is the peak of instability in weather conditions as a result of the country being affected by the upper air depressions and a surface depression in the Mediterranean Sea, which resulted in rains of varying intensity. Even Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt.
She said that the wind speed reached 50 km per hour, and there was severe disruption to maritime navigation traffic, in addition to falling temperatures, and the weather fluctuations are expected to continue until tomorrow, but they will be less severe.
She stressed the need to avoid roads adjacent to waterfalls, as torrential rains in Sinai are expected.
