Users Can Now Enjoy Continuous Browsing Experiences Between Galaxy Smartphones and the Galaxy Book Series – Samsung Global Newsroom

As part of Samsung’s ongoing efforts to improve PC-Mobile connectivity, the new “Recent Websites” feature from Microsoft Phone Link is now available for Galaxy smartphones and the Galaxy Book series.

Connected devices increase productivity and convenience, but there is always room to push the boundaries of connectivity even further. According to a recent study,1 77% of people use multiple apps and devices together for a single task, but also find that it can require a lot of extra effort. With this in mind, Samsung Electronics is always looking for new ways to deliver a connected experience that harmonizes the strengths and capabilities of its smartphones, PCs, tablets, watches and more into a truly seamless multi-device ecosystem.

One of these new connection features is Recent Sites2 an update to Microsoft Phone Link3 The app is now available across the entire Galaxy Book range which allows users to effortlessly continue browsing sessions from their smartphones on their PCs. A great way to get started when moving from a phone to a Galaxy Book, this feature makes browsing experiences smoother and more mobile, ensuring users never miss a beat in their productivity.

Galaxy Book users can now retrieve recent sessions from their smartphone with a single click, removing the hassle of browsing on multiple devices for responsive, convenient navigation. For example, say a user wants to research something on their phone and opens multiple tabs. At some point, it may be more efficient to open the same tabs on a larger screen and start working with some PC applications. With Recent Sites, this task is easier than ever, allowing users to open new tabs without having to go back to check search terms or browsing history.

To use Recent Sites, make sure you connect your Galaxy smartphone to the Galaxy Book via Link for Windows on your phone and the Microsoft Phone Link app on your PC. Next, open the Microsoft Phone Link app or flyout on your PC, which will display a list of websites you’ve recently opened on your smartphone. Clicking on one of these websites will open it instantly on your Galaxy Book.

Recent Sites is one of a number of new and upcoming connectivity features that make the connected experience between Galaxy smartphones and the Galaxy Book series richer and more customizable than ever. By unlocking limitless possibilities between devices, Samsung allows customers to use and combine their devices in more innovative and accessible ways. Link to Windows is preloaded on select Samsung Galaxy devices. PC (Microsoft Phone Link App) requires Windows 10 or later. Microsoft Phone Link recommends that the Samsung Galaxy device be on the same Wi-Fi network as the PC. Some mobile apps may restrict content from being shared on other screens.
