Why would a business promote a native app over their perfectly usable website?
We’ll probably have to ask them. But it’s hard not to see this push for native as a priority issue: that these companies consider native applications worthy of their limited time, resources and money. They are worthy investment, to hear these banners tell it.

Ethan shows that the Internet is completely covered by amazingly intrusive “download the app” banners that often cover perfectly usable websites.
What I always think of when I see such banners is a comment I remember Tim Holman once made, there was such a thing,
How would it feel to work on the web team of a company like this? There are a bunch of people in the world who work on websites that only exist behind big stupid banners that tell people not to use what they work on all day.
Surely it would be nice to get to a point where companies did not really care what method you used, because it is probably still built with a technology and is fully capable of everything the device can do.
