Rihanna has yet again delivered a fierce pregnancy look, this time opting for a topless photo shoot as a way of “embracing motherhood like a g.” The singer took to Instagram to share a series of images she jokingly titled “Rub on ya titties,” accompanying the post with an empowering message around maternity and motherhood. “Here’s a little series I call ‘Rub on ya titties’,” Rihanna wrote.
“In honor of my first pregnancy, embracing motherhood like a g, and the magic that this body made!”. The pop star, who is currently expecting her second child, went on to reveal that the photos were taken during her first pregnancy with baby boy, RZA. “Baby RZA… he in there not having a clue how nuts his mama is, or how obsessed he was bout to make me,” she gushed.
The series includes seven photos in which Rihanna sports only a bikini bottom, jewellery and heels. It seems additional pregnancy photo shoots could be in the works, with Rihanna attaching the hashtag “tobecontinued” to her recent post. In any case, Rihanna has long made waves as a flagbearer of maternity fashion, bearing her baby bump at multiple red carpet events throughout much of her two pregnancies.
For their part, fellow musicians Chloe Bailey and Saweetie voiced their support for Rihanna’s shoot, with the former singer declaring she was “obsessed” with the topless look in an Instagram comment. “Wow,” Saweetie added.
Based on loose timelines, the power couple are set to welcome another child sometime this year, following Rihanna’s bombshell reveal of her second pregnancy during her Super Bowl Halftime performance in February. In other Rihanna news, the pop star is set to voice Smurfette in Paramount’s forthcoming live-action reboot, The Smurfs Movie.
In addition to producing, Rihanna will reportedly write and record original songs for the upcoming project, all-but dashing The Navy’s hopes for a long-awaited album.
