The governor of Tierra del Fuego, Gustavo Melellastated this Wednesday that the presidential candidate of La Libertad Avanza, Javier Milei “passes the cap for the caste” when trying to capture the vote of sectors that he harshly criticized during the electoral campaign.
The Fuegian president maintained that the libertarian “has a very difficult time coming back from the things he said” and is “seeking to associate with those he previously criticized.”
“How do Patricia Bullrich’s voters forget that she tried to kill her? How does she reconnect with the radicals after what she said about (Raúl) Alfonsín? Not to mention the left. There are very sensible people in Together for Change,” Melella analyzed in statements to El Destape radio.
“If you talked about destroying and ending the old politics, you cannot go back to the worst of those practices, such as insulting someone and now saying that it is good. “There is no return from that.”
He also criticized the leader of La Libertad Avanza for his association with “the caste” after having reviled that same ruling class.
“If you talked about destroying and ending the old politics, you cannot go back to the worst of those practices, such as insulting someone and now saying that it is good. You don’t come back from that”he added.
Melella was also very critical of Milei regarding his position on the claim of sovereignty over the Malvinas Islands.
“Milei has no homeland. That’s the most worrying thing. He does not mind negotiating sovereignty, part of the territory or natural resources in exchange for money. I am convinced of that. Now he returns with a contrary speech and even sings the Malvinas march. But then he shows that he is part of the caste and that he only relied on a media discourse. “It’s more of the same,” said the Fuegian governor.
For his part, he referred to Antarctic activity and the electoral victory of the libertarian in the national bases of that continent.
“I say it with respect, for those who voted for him. Milei would abandon Antarctic activity because she would consider it an unnecessary expense. Why the transfer of armed forces or scientists? “Why a school in that place,” she indicated.
On Tierra del Fuego, the president recalled that Milei defined the province as “a job” and “a scam”.
“Milei has no homeland. That’s the most worrying thing. He does not mind negotiating sovereignty, part of the territory or natural resources in exchange for money. I am convinced of that. Now he returns with a contrary speech and even sings the Malvinas march. But then he shows that he is part of the caste and that it was only supported by a media discourse. It is more of the same”
“I think that People realized that with it SMEs and the industry would end. He is the maximum representation of Menemism and total impoverishment. With it a worker would earn 200 dollars. He has no idea how a state is run.”, he accused.
Melella confirmed that this Thursday He will meet with other governors and the minister and candidate of Unión por la Patria, Sergio Massa, will probably participate in the meeting.
“We are preparing for the final stretch. With all the force as we have always done in this electoral process. We have a permanent dialogue with all the governors and also with Sergio (Massa) who is aware of the big things and also the small details,” he highlighted.
According to the governor of Tierra del Fuego, in the PASO “people’s anger over the inflationary process that hits us all prevailed,” but “later people began to recognize what Milei and Bullrich mean. That without public works, with more expensive energy or transportation without subsidies, they would be worse off. AND We Argentines want to live in peace. No crack as Massa said and without changing the crack for a chainsaw”, he concluded.
