Matthew Fox has a legion of fans thanks to his days on Party Of Five and Lost.
And the star looked every inch the distinguished actor when he made his return to the red carpet on Wednesday.
Matthew, 57, was in Sydney to promote the new Stan Original series C*A*U*G*H*T which he stars in.
The beloved actor gave awaiting photographers a smile as he stood at the media wall at Sydney Opera House.
Matthew opted for a black blazer which he paired with a grey button-down shirt and suit pants for the star-studded event.
The six-episode series, directed by actor and filmmaker Kick Gurry, follows four Australian soldiers sent on a secret mission to a war-torn country.
They are captured by freedom fighters after being mistaken for Americans and produce a hostage video that goes viral.
When the soldiers reach celebrity status, they realise that being caught might just be the best thing that could’ve happened to them.
Matthew only just returned to television last year with Last Light, more than a decade after Lost ended.
‘I kind of had a bucket list in my mind of things that I wanted to accomplish in the business, and after I did Bone Tomahawk in 2014 that had kind of completed the bucket list,’ he told Variety.
‘I wanted to do a Western. It’s a very odd Western, but it’s a Western. And so that sort of completed the bucket list.’
‘At that time in my life, our kids were at an age where I felt like I needed to really reengage,’ he continued.
‘I had been focused on work for some time, and Margherita [Ronchi] had been running the family so beautifully, but I felt like it was time to be home, and I really felt like I was retiring from the business, and working on other creative elements that are really personal to me – some music and writing.’
The Stan Original series, C*A*U*G*H*T premieres September 28 only on Stan.
