‘I am so afraid of spiders’

Kim Kardashian revealed she pushed through her yearslong fear of spiders, for her new starring role in American Horror Story: Delicate.

In a hilarious behind-the-scenes, the 42-year-old reality star, who has previously spoken about having arachnophobia, admitted that she is still ‘so afraid of spiders.’

Despite the official trailer for her show’s upcoming season practically bursting with spiders, she continues to remain jumpy at the sight of anything resembling a  tarantula.

‘These lashes were sitting on the counter, and I almost screamed because I thought it was a spider,’ the mother-of-four said with a laugh, referring to her false eyelashes that resembled spider legs.

Footage then panned to the SKIMS mogul with a giant spider wrapped around her torso as well as a recording of her wrapped in cobwebs while holding an infant.  

While speaking about working on a scripted series, after more than two decades on reality television, the Los Angeles native raved that ‘anytime you try something, you just have to have the intention of growing and challenging yourself.’

‘Then you just kind of release and have fun,’ she added. 

Kardashian went on to describe American Horror Story: Delicate as ‘so different and scary.’ 

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum has a well-documented terror of spiders, which resulted in her running off stage during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

After the comedian played a fake spider prank on her, Kardashian jumped out of her chair and fled toward the stage exit. 

The host explained that she wanted to help her ‘get over’ her fear of spiders.

In 2020, for Halloween, the arachnophobe said she was ‘overcoming’ her ‘fears’ as she dressed as a spider and decorated her home with a massive spider perched on the roof.

In the past, Kardashian referred to spiders as ‘awful’ and her ‘biggest nightmare’ admitting she ‘absolutely hates them.’

On an episode of her E! series, the actress admitted to bribing a pet store clerk $100 to tell her eldest daughter North that spiders make terrible pets.

‘North has brought up several times now that she wants a pet spider,’ Kim said.

‘And that is absolutely never going to happen. Like never, ever, ever, as long as she is living under my roof. Never going to happen.’

In 2019, Kardashian was horrified to discover three tarantulas in her garage and wrote on her Instagram Story: ‘What the actual f***? It’s mating season apparently. I won’t be able to sleep tonight knowing this was in my garage.’
