The revenue from the game against São Paulo is almost double what the club had in revenue from the 2022 Copa do Brasil games (R$ 13.7 million) — when Fla was champion. The second game of the final against Corinthians had gross revenue of R$11.1 million.
In the first half of 2023, Flamengo had already generated R$62.8 million in income gross with games.
The final of the Copa do Brasil, alone, was the equivalent of 42% of what the club pocketed in this regard throughout the first six months of the year.
Looking at the whole of 2022, the record income is equivalent to about a quarter of what Fla invoiced with box office last year.
To reach income of R$26.3 million, Flamengo x São Paulo had an average ticket of R$436.21. Tickets ranged from R$400 to R$4,500 for the general public.
